50 Covid-19 cases reported as number of patients in ITU up to 5

50 new cases of Covid-19 were reported on Tuesday as the number of patients receiving treatment in ITU increased.

26 people have recovered from the virus, leaving the number of active cases at 747.

32 people meanwhile – three less than Monday – are receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, while five – one more than Monday – are now in the hospital’s ITU.

806,726 doses of the vaccine had been administered up until Monday, 2,955 of which are booster doses.

Malta has had 36,843 cases of Covid-19.  35,251 of those have recovered, while 449 have died.
