The iconic British Red Arrows display team has arrived in Malta ahead of the return of the Malta International Airshow.

Based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, the Red Arrows had flown almost 5,000 displays in 57 countries, by the beginning of 2021 — the team's 57th season.

This will be the Reds’ 9th visit to Malta, having last performed back in 2014.

Flying distinctive Hawk fast-jets, the team is made up of pilots, engineers and essential support staff with frontline, operational experience. Together, they demonstrate the excellence and capabilities of the Royal Air Force and the Service's skilled, talented people.

The Malta International Airshow is set to take place on September 25 and 26, with flying displays happening around Qawra from 3pm onwards and static displays happening at the new SR Technics Hangar between 9am and 2pm.
