Sixteen new cases of Covid-19 were registered on Saturday, while 44 recovered.

The number of people receiving treatment in hospital is now 17, four of whom are in intensive care, health authorities said.

In all, there are now 443 active cases, while the number of deaths remained at 457.

The authorities saud 816,136 vaccination doses have been administered.

So far, Malta has registered 37,077 cases of Covid-19, with 35,770 people recovering.
