A biker was grievously injured on Tuesday afternoon in a traffic accident in Birkirkara, the police said Wednesday.

The accident happened in Fleur-de-Lys Road at 12.30pm.

It involved a Toyota Passo, driven by a 29-year-old man of Birkirkara, and a Yamaha Virago.

The biker, a man aged 36 of Qormi, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital with grievous injuries.
