Valletta ranked fifth best ideal European city amongst thirty others to relish a well-priced meal along with wide-ranging options, according to a study by Uswitch earlier this month.

The study calculated the cost of a meal when eating out in the city along with the number of cafes, pubs, restaurants offered, as well as the number of places offering brunch, fast food and vegetarian food options.

Athens, Greece came in first place offering “delicious” food for an average of €16.62 per meal, having an overall score of 88.47 out of 100.

Tirana, Albania came in fourth (78.76), followed by Valletta with an average cost of 23.47 per meal and 78.73 overall points.

Additionally, Valletta came in second place for vegetarian food options, preceded only by Belgrade in first place by just one point.

Valletta’s average rating was 8.84 out of 10, whilst Belgrade attained an 8.85 average rating.

Zagreb, Tirana and Athens followed suit, all with an average rating over 8.7.

Malta also ranked fourth place as one of the best European cities to brunch in, recording an 8.84 average.

Tirana in Albania was awarded first place with an 8.95 average, followed by Athens (8.88) and Zagreb (8.85).
