Ten new Covid-19 cases were recorded Friday, while Malta registered its first death after a three-week lull, health authorities said.
The latest victim is an 86-year-old man, who took the total number of victims to 460. The previous death had been registered on 1 October.
Fourteen people remain in hospital, with four of them in intensive care.
There were 23 patients who recovered, leaving the number of active cases at 251.
In all, 37,537 cases have been recorded in Malta, with 36,417 patients who recovered.
The number of vaccination doses administered is now 863,183.
