A 36-year-old was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Msida on Wednesday night at 7.15pm.

The accident occurred on Triq il-Marina.

The vehicles involved were a Ford Transit, driven by a 41-year-old Libyan who resides in Naxxar and a Sym Jet motorcycle, ridden by a 36-year-old Libyan who resides in San Gwann.

The motorcycle rider was taken to Mater Dei Hospital and is suffering from grievous injuries. Investigations are ongoing.
