35 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Tuesday, as the number of active cases of the virus crept over the 400 mark.
10 people have recovered, and with no new deaths reported the number of active cases currently stands at 406.
It is the first time since 26 September – when Malta had 421 active cases – that the 400 mark has been exceeded.
13 patients – two more than on Monday – are currently receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, and four of those are currently in intensive care.
892,243 doses of the vaccine had been administered by Monday, with 62,037 of those being booster shots.
Malta has had 37,970 cases of the virus so far. 36,691 of those have recovered, while 462 have died.
