Covid-19: 95 new cases, as number of active cases continues to climb

Ninety-five new Covid-19 cases were recorded on Monday, the health authorities said.

The number of patients who recovered was 39, meaning that the number of active cases has risen sharply again, to 1,136.

The last time Malta had more than 1,100 cases was on 6 August (1,134).

There are 15 patients in hospital, with two of them in intensive care.

The number of deaths registered in Malta remains at 468.

In all, 952,809 vaccination doses have been administered, of which 117,263 were booster doses.

Malta has seen 39,242 cases of Covid-19, of whom 37,319 have recovered.
