A man was grievously injured following a crash involving two cars in Gharghur on Saturday.

The police said the accident took place in Tal-Balal Road at 12.15pm.

It involved a BMW X1 driven by a 41-year-old woman of Swieqi, and a Hyundai Getz, driven by a 23-year-old man of Rabat.

The man was taken to hospital with grievous injuries, the police said.
