The Nationalist Party on Wednesday approved the co-option of Graziella Galea, to fill the seat vacated by David Thake.

Her nomination was approved unanimously by the Executive Committee, the PN said.

David Thake resigned last week in the wake of a VAT scandal.

Galea is a former mayor of St Paul’s Bay.

The party also appointed Veronica Perici Calascione as International Secretary. She will be replacing Roselyn Borg Knight, who resigned from the post last week.

The party thanked Thake and Borg Knight for their work and congratulated Galea and Perici Calascione.
