Three Covid-19 patients die, as 230 new cases are found

Three Covid-19 patients have died since Wednesday, as 230 new cases of the virus have been reported by health authorities.

Authorities said that two men aged 70 and 81 years respectively, and a 90-year-old woman had died while positive for Covid-19.

Meanwhile, 590 people have recovered from the virus, meaning that the number of active cases has dropped to 3,946.

102 patients are currently being treated for the virus at Mater Dei Hospital, with seven of those in intensive care.

1,204,550 doses of the vaccine meanwhile have been administered so far, with 327,112 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 66,876 cases of the virus. 62,006 of those have recovered, while 541 have died.
