A 96-year-old woman is the latest person to die while positive for Covid-19, as 203 new cases were reported by health authorities on Sunday.

90 people have recovered from the virus, taking the number of active cases up to 2,356 so far.

55 patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, of whom only one is in intensive care.

1,252,615 doses of the vaccine had been administered by Sunday, out of which 348,307 are booster doses.

Malta has had 74,400 cases of the virus so far. 71,052 of those have recovered, while 622 have died.
