Opposition Leader Bernard Grech said he would offer his name once again for the PN leadership elections should the PN lose Saturday’s election.

Addressing a press conference in Valletta, Grech was answering questions from journalists, one of which prompted Grech to answer on whether he would contest again for the PN leadership election, or if he would step aside as his predecessors did before him if the PN were to lose on Saturday – as is widely expected to happen.

“I believe that I have more to give, during my time as PN leader we have changed mentalities, we have made big differences, we changed the way we have done our politics,” Grech said.

Grech said he feels the need to continue offering his services after the election, adding that his vision is the one which is needed for the country. He said that the PN was more prepared than the PL when the electoral campaign started.

Asked about the recent surveys which show a majority of citizens plan to vote PL in the upcoming election, Grech said that he will continue to convince citizens to vote PN until the end of the campaign. He said that several Labour supporters will vote PN, as ‘they have realized that Abela is arrogant and oppressive.’

Grech said that the surveys do not truly show what is in people’s hearts, and that the public has the responsibility to choose for their future on Saturday.
