A man was arrested after he was found to be in possession of drugs during a police search on Thursday.

The police said during traffic inspection in Mdina Road, Qormi, at around 10.45pm, officers noticed the driver of a Toyota IQ stopping the car and behaving suspiciously

The officers approached the vehicle and conducted a search, finding packets containing cocaine, an undisclosed amount of cash and other objects related to drug trafficking.

The driver, a man aged 36 resident in Qormi, was arrested.
