A construction worker is in danger of dying after he fell around four storeys at the site he was working at in Gozo.

Police said that their assistance was requested at around 11:45am at a construction site at Triq Manwel Magro in Marsalforn.

Preliminary investigations on site found that a 46-year-old man from Syria had fallen around four storeys while carrying out some works at the site.

The man was taken to Gozo General Hospital by ambulance following assistance from the Civil Protection Department, where he was certified as suffering from serious injuries.

Duty magistrate Bridgette Sultana is leading an inquiry while police investigations are also ongoing.
