A 65-year-old motorcyclist was grievously injured on Tuesday in a traffic accident that took place in St Paul’s Bay.

The accident took place on Triq Burmarrad, at around 11:30am, the police said.

The casualty, who is from Mosta, was riding a Honda motorcycle that was involved in a crash with a Chevrolet Spark driven by a 61-year-old Belgian man.

The motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Police investigations are ongoing.
