A man was seriously injured in a fight in Gozo on Tuesday, the police said.
In a statement, the police said that at 10.30pm it was informed by the Gozo General Hospital that a 46-year-old man of Ghasri had been taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Preliminary investigations led the police to information that the man had been involved in a fight in Triq l-Ghammar, Ghasri, at 11.30am, some 11 hours earlier.
Two other men were involved in the fight. They were both arrested by the police during the night. They were also taken to hospital for treatment to slight injuries.
Magistrate Bridgette Sultana is leading an inquiry.
