Health authorities on Friday recorded 506 new Covid-19 cases, with one more death.

There has been a slight drop in the number of active cases, which fell by two from 7,941 on Thursday to 7,939 on Friday.

In all, there have been 107,892 cases reported in Malta since the pandemic broke in March 2020, with 98,723 recoveries.

The death toll is now 754.

The Health Ministry has stopped publishing daily bulletins on social media which show details about the pandemic in Malta.

Data is still being published by the Health Ministry’s COVID-19 Public Health Response Team on an open source database on the platform GitHub, although certain details such as the number of positive Covid-19 cases in hospital and the details about people who had died are not included in the dataset.
