Two bikers were injured in separate accidents in Floriana and the Coast Road, limits of Naxxar, in the past hours, the police said.

In the first accident, a collision involving a Toyota IQ and a Honda bike took place on National Road, Floriana, at 5pm on Wednesday.

The biker, a man aged 34 from Victoria, was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the Toyota, a man aged 25 of Sliema, was unhurt.

In the second accident, which took place at 1.30am today, involved a biker who lost control of the Yamaha she was riding and crashed.

The biker, a 34-year-old Romanian woman resident in Mqabba, was also taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
