The Nationalist Party has requested a joint meeting to take place in September between two parliamentary committees in order to discuss the regulations on the work-life balance.
This request was made by the Nationalist Party’s Opposition Whip Robert Cutajar as he wrote to the President of the Family Affairs Committee, and to the President of the Social Affairs Committee.
Cutajar said that the purpose of this meeting would be to discuss the Legal Notice 201 of 2022 which deals with the regulations on the work-life balance for parents and the persons they care for.
This request came after the regulations were published on 12 July 2022, and came into force on 2 August 2022, according to the Standing Orders of the Chamber of Deputies.
