The area around the Neptunes Waterpolo pitch in Balluta is once again safe for swimming, the Environmental Health Directorate said in a statement on Monday.
The Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health notified on Monday that following repeated sampling of seawater carried out daily during the last days of the bathing site at Balluta (around the Waterpolo Pitch), St Julian’s (Site Code B 08) is once again fit for bathing and thus the health warning is hereby being lifted.
The same directorate warned against swimming in the area six days ago due to microbiological contamination affecting the bathing water quality.
