A woman suffered grievous injuries in an accident at 1pm on Thursday.

Preliminary police investigations found that the 32-year-old woman from Portugal was riding pillion on a quad bike being driven by a 29-year-old man who is also from Portugal. The quad bike crashed into a wall on Triq ix-Xlendi in Munxar, Gozo.

The woman was taken to the Gozo General Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
