A worker who suffered serious injuries after falling off a truck while working at the Corradino Industrial Estate earlier this week has died in hospital.

Police said that the 65-year-old man, who lives in Attard, succumbed to his injuries on Friday.

He was seriously injured after falling off a truck while he was working at the industrial estate on Tuesday 16 August.

Preliminary investigations showed that a 65-year-old man from Attard had fallen off a truck while he was carrying out some works.

Civil Protection Department members and a medical team were called to the site and the victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.

He was later certified as suffering from serious injuries, but passed away on Friday.

Duty magistrate Astrid May Grima leading an inquiry while police investigations are also ongoing.
