A photo of a board set up at the Ta’ Qali park – on which there is a spelling mistake – is going viral on the social media.
The board is intended to warn dog owners to clean after their pet.
But the word “respectful” is spelt wrongly.
This has prompted many to comment about the mistake.
The more ironic said that this is what happens when the education levels are lowered, with obvious reference to the decision that a pass mark in all three core subjects – Maltese, English and maths – is no longer needed to enter the Junior College.
Others remarked about the “u iva mhux xorta” (anything goes) mentality that is prevailing in Maltese society.
