A balcony overlooking Triq ix-Xatt in Gzira collapsed onto the pavement, luckily injuring no-one.

The pavement was closed off by Police as scattered pieces of concrete and steel occupy the pacement, while the railing of the balcony still stands in place.

The dangerous of the balcony was reported to the Gzira local council at the end of 2021 who then informed the Sliema police district station about the matter.

Police investigations are underway.
