A man was critically injured while three others were also hurt as a car driven by a 17-year-old girl crashed into a wall in Swieqi, the police said.
The accident took place in Madliena Road at 1.30am Saturday.
The driver, a 17-year-old girl resident in St Paul’s Bay, lost control of the Renault Zoe she was driving, and the vehicle crashed into a wall.
There were three passengers in the car – a 21-year-old man of Naxxar, a 20-year-old Swiss man resident in Swieqi and a Chilean girl, aged 19, resident in St Julian’s.
They were all taken to hospital, with the 21-year-old seriously hurt.
The Chilean girl was grievously hurt while the other two suffered slight injuries, the police said.
Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace is leading an inquiry.
