The Government doubled the funds in schemes for young people to €450,000. This was revealed when the Youth Agency launched a funding program intended for youth organisations for the year 2023.
The funding program includes schemes such as A4U, Be Active, Youth Music Training and the new Invest scheme.
The Parliamentary Secretariat for Youth, Research and Innovation said that these schemes aim to strengthen the resources of youth organisations and give opportunities to young people to actively participate in the community.
It also said that the government is investing twice as much for next year because it firmly believes that youth organisations play a crucial role in society.
The parliamentary secretary, Keith Azzopardi, emphasised the importance of these schemes which continue to help organisations that work with young people.
"These associations will be able to continue offering a space where our young people can come together and share common interests and goals, whilst serving to improve our country's society," said Azzopardi.
He also thanked all young people who give up their time to volunteer for youth organizations, which help to serve and benefit the community.
