32-year-old taken to hospital after motorbike crash in Sliema

A 32-year-old male from Qormi has been taken to hospital after being hit while on his motorbike by a car in Sliema.

Police later identified the man as a LESA official and said that he has suffered grievous injuries.

Police confirmed that the car, a Hyundai i10, which was being driven by a 31-year-old Armenian man residing in Sliema, crashed with the motorbike, a Kymco X-Town near Sliema Ferries at around 11:30am today.

In the car there was another passenger, a 34-year-old male from Armenia. Both the driver and the passenger in the car were uninjured.

Photos show that the motorbike was used by a LESA official.
