Just nine new Covid-19 cases were recorded on Sunday, the health authorities said.

This has taken the total number of cases registered in Malta to 114,719.

Of these, 113,246 have recovered, while the number of deaths remained at 806.

The number of active cases is now 271.

The Health Ministry stopped publishing daily bulletins on social media which display details about the pandemic in Malta.

Data is still being published by the Health Ministry's COVID-19 Public Health Response Team on an open-source database on the platform GitHub, although certain details, such as the number of positive Covid-19 cases in hospital and details about people who died, are not included in the dataset.
