The police, assisted by the Detention Services, continued carrying out inspections tied to irregular migration on Sunday.

44 people were found living in the country irregularly in Marsalforn, Gozo, the police said. The people are from Ghana, Nigeria, Syria, Gambia, Togo, Albania, Pakistan and Burkina Faso. They were taken to a detention centre and the process to deport them has begun.
