Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri said Saturday evening that the search operation at Kordin could take many hours.

In a post on Facebook, the minister said that the Civil Protection Department personnel will continue to search overnight for a man who is trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building.

The man, aged 20, was among six workers who were trapped under the debris when a building under construction at Kordin collapsed on Saturday morning.

Five were rescued, with three of them in intensive care at Mater Dei Hospital, while the other two were grievously injured.
