An elderly woman was grievously injured after she was hit by a car in Fgura on Monday morning.

The accident happened in Triq Sant’Antnin at 9am.

The woman, aged 72 and resident in Zabbar, was hit by a Nissan Juke driven by a 24-year-old woman who resides in Xghajra.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
