Heavy traffic is being reported all over the south of Malta as a vehicle has overturned in Marsa, with Infrastructure Minister Aaron Farrugia adding fuel to the frustration by uploading a post on work taking place on the Luqa underpass.

The Maltese Roads Traffic Updates is reporting that a heavy vehicle has overturned on December 13 Road direction north, which has led to heavy traffic piling up.

The same Facebook page is saying that the Kirkop tunnel area is jammed with traffic, direction south, with drivers reporting a gridlock near the Santa Lucia roundabout too.

A few minutes ago, Infrastructure Minister Aaron Farrugia uploaded a post on his Facebook page, saying that work on the ceiling that is to serve as the underpass at Luqa Junction is underway - one the areas which is currently hit by heavy traffic.

While his post has been welcomed by the prosit ministru brigade, telling him to keep up the good work, the Maltese Roads Traffic Updates page is full of comments from angry drivers who are writing about their frustrating experience as they are stuck in traffic.
