A man was arrested on Friday afternoon as the police seized cannabis and cocaine from the garage in Marsa.

The police said that it was acting on suspicions that drugs were being trafficked.

On Friday, officers observed a 41-year-old man of Birkirkara entering the garage and later leaving in a vehicle.

The car was surrounded by officers and searched, with the police finding cocaine sachets. A search in the garage yielded more cocaine and cannabis.

The man was arrested and will be charged in court.
