A journalist and cameraperson of ONE have accepted an apology from a man who spat at them during Thursday’s protest in Valletta.

A statement by the two members of the ONE crew said that in view of the apology no police action will be taken.

The apology was made via communication through the Institute of Maltese Journalists, who had issued a statement condemning the man’s behaviour.

The ONE statement blamed Opposition Leader Bernard Grech for inciting the crowd during the parliamentary debate which was taking place at the same time as the protest.
