24 people were found by police to be living in Malta illegally as inspections were carried out in two localities on Sunday morning.
Police said that it carried out inspections in Hamrun and Qormi, and found 24 people who were living in the country illegally.
The people come from Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, Gambia, Mali, Ivory Coast, Benin, Guinea, Niger, Ethiopia, and Somalia.
They were taken into custody to the Detention Centre, where they will be held until they are deported.
