Dar Santa Rosa, a new privately run home for children and minors with disabilities, was inaugurated on Wednesday.
The home, situated in Mosta, is run by HILA Homes Ltd and comes after a €3 million investment. It was inaugurated by Inclusion Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli, and is the first of its kind in Malta.

The minister said that “every child has a right to have an environment which is adapted to them, irrespective of their abilities.”
Dar Santa Rosa has 27 bedrooms spread across four storeys, with common parts including therapy rooms, recreational spaces with a small garden which will be equipped with sensory items.

The aim is to make a difference in the lives of the families concerned, Silvio said.
