Two men were taken to hospital after being injured in two separate traffic accidents on Saturday.

The first accident occurred at 1.15pm on Triq Sant' Antnin, Marsascala. Preliminary investigations found that a collision occurred between a motorbike ridden by a 56-year-old man from Marsascala and a Mitsubishi Outlander, driven by a 34-year-old woman from Fgura.

The second accident occurred at 6.30pm on Triq ir-Rabat, Żebbuġ, Gozo. A collision occurred between a motorbike ridden by a 32-year old man from Nadur and a Fiat 500 driven by a 26-year-old woman from Xaghra.

The men in both accidents were taken to hospital by accident and have suffered grievous injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
