A nine-month-old baby was injured on Monday night in a traffic accident in Mosta, the police said.

The accident occurred in Independence Avenue at 11.15pm.

It involved a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 34-year-old man of Hamrun and a Peugeot driven by a 43-year-old man of San Gwann

Riding as passengers in the Golf were a 22-year-old man of Rabat, a 20-year-old woman of Valletta and a nine-month-old child,

The 43-year-old driver and the baby were taken to hospital, both with grievous injuries.
