Five children were injured on Friday afternoon following a crash involving four cars, two of which were parked, in Zabbar, the police said.
The accident happened in Labour Avenue at 5pm.
It involved a Toyota Ist driven by an 18-year-old man of Attard, and a Volvo XC60 driven by a 54-year-old man of Mosta. A woman aged 20 and a four-month old baby were in the Toyota.
With the impact, two other cars which were parked were also hit, a Renault Captur and a VW Polo.
The VW Polo was occupied by a 54-year-old man of Zabbar, who had with him in the car a boy and girl both aged four, and two boys aged nine and 11.
The man and the four children who were in the Polo, the 18-year-old driver and the four-month old baby were taken to hospital for treatment.
The police said the four-year-old boy suffered grievous injuries while the other six were slightly hurt.
