A Transport Malta official was hospitalised after he was hit by a car in a traffic accident on Wednesday morning.
Police said in a statement that the accident happened at around 8:15am in Triq Sir Temi Zammit in Mgarr.
The official was identified as a 35-year-old man who lives in Dingli, and police said that he was hit by a Honda Fit driven by a 60-year-old Italian woman who lives in Swieqi.
The official was given first aid and taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.
Police said that investigations are ongoing.
