A 19-year-old man was injured after losing control of his motorcycle on Thursday night.

Police said that the accident happened at 10:30pm in Triq il-Gnejna in Mgarr.

Preliminary investigations showed that the 19-year-old, who is from Mellieha, lost control of his motorcycle and fell.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police said that investigations are ongoing.
