A woman was grievously injured when she was hit by a car on Saturday afternoon, the police said.

The accident took place in St Luke’s Road, Pieta, at 3pm.

The woman, aged 22, was hit by a Mercedes Benz driven by a 46-year-old woman of Siggiewi.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
