A 59-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested over suspected drug trafficking

The police received information on Saturday that a drug deal was going to take place.The police followed a vehicle after being informed that the driver was allegedly in possession of drugs. The police surrounded the vehicle that was being driven by the 50-year-old man. A search found 5kg of suspected cocaine. The woman was also arrested on site, who was in another vehicle and was allegedly going to be involved in a drug deal.

The drugs found had a value of around €300,000. A Magisterial inquiry was launched.
