A motorcycle rider was grievously injured at 4.30pm in an accident on Regional Road, Santa Venera.

Preliminary police investigations found that three vehicles were involved in a crash. These were a Kymco Agility motorcycle ridden by a 30-year-old man from India who lives in Lija, a Honda Fit, driven by a 31-year-old resident from Marsa and a Toyota Aygo, driven by a 26-year-old San Gwann resident.

The motorcycle rider was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
