Singer Joe Cutajar has passed away, his brother Frankie announced on Facebook.
He was 83-years-old.
Born in Valletta, he had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1972, where together with Helen Micallef they sang the song 'L-Imħabba'.
His singing career spanned decades. He sang in a number of countries and had worked as a cabaret artist in London's West End in the 60s.
Tributes for the artist began being posted on Facebook. Singer and songwriter Mark Spiteri Lucas said that Malta lost a musical legend.
