The National Productivity Board presented its annual report during a conference organized by the same board. The report noted that the financial and ICT sectors experienced excellent growth. The report indicated that the financial sector, amongst others, is being strengthened, a government statement said.
The report also made 10 recommendations to assure the continual strengthening of the country’s economy.
Parliamentary Secretary for Social Dialogue, Andy Ellul, noted how clearly this report indicates that the governments politics is going in the right direction. He added that this is in a background of the significant economic growth the country is experiencing as well as increases in the minimum wage and other reforms.
Ellul also noted the positive impact Direct Foreign Investment, progress in the research and innovation sector and the improvements in the education sector is having on the country. He said that these positive results were also achieved thanks to the strong social dialogue we have in the country.
