32 people were arrested in Gozo after being found to be in the country irregularly, the police said.
These people are from Ghana, Syria, Ethiopia and Sudan, and they were taken to a detention centre where the process to have them returned to their country of origin or a country where they can reside regularly began, the police added.
The arrests came after the police had conducted surveillance and inspections on a number of public areas and private residences in Gozo.
