Teenager, biker grievously injured in separate traffic accidents

A teenager and a biker were grievously injured in separate traffic accidents on Friday afternoon, the police said Saturday.

The boy, aged 15, and resident in Marsascala, was riding as a passenger in a Toyota C-HR driven by a 24-year-old man of Gzira. The care was involved in a collision with an Isuzu Elf driven by a41-year-old man of Marsascala.

The accident happened in Dahla ta’ San Tumas Road, Marsascala, at 2pm.

Two hours later, on the Regional Road, Santa Venera, a 56-year-old man of Birzebbuga was injured when the bike he was riding, a Next Mojito, was involved in an accident with three cars, a Toyota driven by a 43-year-old man of Zurrieq, a Peugeot driven by a 62-year-old man, also of Zurrieq, and a Mitsubishi driven by a 56-year-old man of Qrendi.

The teenager and biker were taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
